This page contains information around how I work, communication process and content formats, so that we both know what to expect, who should do what, and what happens if anything unexpected comes up.

My process

Over the years I’ve narrowed down rules and procedures for my business that allow me to work efficiently to get the best results and keep us both happy.

As such, we’ll both need to abide by these guidelines so that the project flows smoothly.

This also means that I may work differently to people you’ve worked with before, so this should be viewed as a fresh experience not based on the workings of others.

Our roles in this project

My role as a professional will be to look at your problems or requirements and find solutions for you that best suit the needs of your project. I will offer suggestions for improvements where I can, based on my knowledge and experience.

Your role as my client will be to provide me with information on your problems and requirements articulated as clearly as possible and to trust my expertise and guidance.



All correspondence regarding the project will be handled via email, apart from consultations.

Phone calls or Skype sessions are welcome for more detailed discussions or clarification if necessary. Whatsapp is ok for arranging consult or phone call times, etc, but not for brief-related info on the project.

I will respond to emails within a maximum of 48 hours. If things get busy and you haven’t received a response from me within that time, please feel free to send a friendly reminder.

Responses from you will also be required in return within a maximum of three days in order to keep the project flowing smoothly.

In the event that I don’t receive a response after following up and can’t get hold of you, the project may be put on hold in order to not jeopardise other project commitments and will be resumed at a mutually suitable date. A rescheduling fee may be required.



Your satisfaction during this project is of utmost importance to me, so I make every effort to explain my processes clearly to avoid misunderstandings.

If at any time you feel unsure about anything or like things aren’t going as you expected please politely let me know as soon as possible so that we can clear up any misunderstandings before they become problems.

You will need to describe in detail what you do and don’t like about anything I provide you at any point with clear reasoning, without having to provide your own solutions.

Communication is key at all times – if I’m not aware that there’s a problem, I can’t fix it.

Office hours

I keep my hours separate so I can focus on family when I am with them and work when I have my office hours.

My contactable hours are from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday  (NZST).

You may gladly mail me outside of those times and will receive a response during working hours.

If you need to send me files (images, text docs, etc), any file larger than 2MB must be sent via a file sharing service (like Dropbox, Google Drive or WeTransfer) and not emailed.

I use Asana to manage projects and will invite you to be a team member on our joint project together. Asana keeps all our communication and updates around the project in one place. This ensures the best chance for success when it comes to communication.

What I need to begin work

Depending on which channels we have agreed I will manage for you:

Payment schedule

The payment schedule will be outlined in the formal contract between us.

Payment is due 14 days upon receipt.

We are sure you understand how important it is as a small business that you pay the invoices that we send you promptly.

If payment has not been made by the 14th day, a 5% interest will be added every 7 days until your payment has been completed, starting on the 15th day.


Cancellation policy

If at some point, either of us decides our working relationship is failing, we can submit the desire to part ways in writing and payment for all work completed at that point will be due.

For example, where 75% of the project is complete, you will be billed for 75% of the total project cost.

*Projected costs are based on the scope of the work at the beginning of the project, as well as the timeline outlined. If you wish to add or change the scope of the work, and if the timeline changes due to these changes or additions (or lack of response on your part), these costs will be billed as additional and must be paid before project completion.
